Vinyl sound technology began with Thomas Edison's 1877 phonograph (wax cylinders) before transitioning to Emile Berliner's flat shellac discs in the early 1900s. In the 1930s-1940s, durable vinyl (PVC) replaced brittle shellac, introducing 33⅓ RPM LPs (1948) for long play and 45 RPM singles. This, combined with stereo, defined high-fidelity audio for decades.
Groovoteka continues the tradition of providing the most original sound today.
